This family-run hotel is set in a unique location directly next to Thann castle, in the heart of the Franconian countryside, just 20 km south-east of Nuremberg.
The Panorama-Gasthof Burgschänke offers a wonderful view of the romantic Schwarzachtal valley, either from the sun-filled panoramic conservatory or the outer hotel terrace.
The rooms were redesigned in 2012 and are equipped with a flat-screen TV and private bathroom with hairdryer and free toiletries.
Be sure to try local Franconian cuisine, typical German dishes, or international specialities in the cosy, romantic hotel restaurant, or indeed outside on the terrace in fine weather. In 2007 the restaurant was awarded with a silver medal to honour its excellent Bavarian cuisine. Here you can enjoy fresh seasonal dishes, accompanied with a refreshing local Franconian beer or wine.
The hotel is also happy to provide rooms and facilities for any functions or celebrations you may wish to hold here. You can choose between the modern, state-of-the-art Burgherrenstub’m hall or the cosy, more traditional Alte Stub’m lounge.

Guests may opt for half board or full board.

From the A73 motorway, take the Feucht exit, and take the B8 towards Neumarkt. From Ochenbruck turn left towards Mimberg/Burgthann. Please note that the road to Burgthann is the 2nd exit from Ochenbruck.
From the A3 motorway, take the Altdorf/Burgthann exit, head for Feucht/Burgthann and from Weinhof take an immediate left-turn towards Burgthann.
